Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae full ED song - Ichinuke by Mamiko Noto

The soundtrack for Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae has just been released, and even if it wasn't as good as the previous Jigoku Shoujo soundtracks, there was still a full Mamiko Noto song waiting for me: Ichinuke. I've already written a couple of posts about Mamiko Noto (click here for my previous review of Ichinuke), so regular readers of this blog should know by now that she is one of my favorite singers as well as seiyuus. 9/10 The long version is even better than the short version, which was expected of course! I'm so in love with Mamiko's heavenly voice. It's so soothing and beautiful. Words can't describe it... Not convinced? Well check out the PV and tell me your thoughts:

UPDATE on Anime Song Face Off 1

Savage Genius vs. Mamiko Noto


58% of you voted for Mamiko Noto's version of Aizome. That was a real hard one for me. And I'm still undecided as ever, so I guess that means I like both songs equally.


I think that both songs have a different style and feel to them. While, Mamiko Noto's song is more calm and focuses on the voice, the Savage Genius version sounds more epic and dramatic. I like the music arrangements better in Aizome by Savage Genius, whereas the best voice of these two versions is without a doubt Mamiko's! She has the sweetest voice ever, and like I said before, I find her voice to be also quite soothing and magical. I would have loved hearing a version of Aizome with Mamiko Noto singing on the Savage Genius version. The orchestral arrangements of that version are so good!

So even if the winner of this Face Off is Mamiko Noto, for me it's still a tie, and that's why my rating for these two songs is 9/10.

Anime Song Face Off 1: Savage Genius vs. Mamiko Noto

New Series OP and ED - Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae

Well, this is not a new series per se, but rather the third season of Jigoku Shoujo (Hell Girl). I dropped this series after watching the first few episodes of season 2. This show was boring as hell! Each episode with the same vengeance, over and over again. Ippen, shinde miru?? We get it, goddamnit! The soundtrack for the show, however was really amazing (see my Top 51 best anime soundtracks).



6/10 The OP for the third season of Hell Girl is Tsukihana sung by Nana Kitade. I like her voice but I'm not too sure about the song. It's ok without being really good either... Anyway, you can download the full song here.

8/10 The ED is Ichi Nuke sung by Mamiko Noto. This is Noto Mamiko's third time singing the ED for Hell Girl. She's already sung the 2 other EDs for the previous seasons of the show. And I'm really happy she's doing it again this season. Her voice is mesmerizing and so beautiful. She's not only a very famous voice actress (she does Enma Ai, the actual Hell Girl), but also a very talented singer. While this song is not as good as the previous EDs she did for Hell Girl, I think it's still pretty good! Enjoy:
