Hannibal, MO — Amanda Morrall is the 2009 Miss Hannibal. She was crowned Saturday, Dec. 6, during the annual pageant, along with three younger queens.
Morrall is the daughter of Lori Ward, Rick Voepel and Bruce Morrall. Her talent presentation was on piano, and her platform was muscular dystrophy awareness.
Jillian Richardson, daughter of Wesley and Fay Richardson, was first runner up. Second runner-up was Ashleigh Coleman, daughter of Adrienne Coleman and Michael Pryor.
Amelia Golding, daughter of Jim and Janese Golding, was third runner-up, and Kayla Freiling, daughter of John and Sheila Freiling, was fourth runner-up.
Emily Haines, daughter of Tom and Annette Greenwald, was crowned Outstanding Teen. Runners-up in this event were: first - Emily Tate, daughter of Mark and Andrea Tate; second - Destiny Reed, daughter of Lance and Tammy Reed; third - Angela Bode, daughter of Lewis and Shelly Bode; and fourth (three-way tie) Rachelle Krigbaum, daughter of Brenda and Lance Krigbaum, Michaelya Laster, daughter of Lorrie Laster, and Audrey Powell, daughter of Geri Powell and Benny Powell.
Keeley Smashey was crowned Pre Junior Miss, and her sister, Brianna Smashey, was crowned Pre Teen Miss. They are the daughters of Heather and Ryan Dowell.
Runners-up in the Pre Junior Miss contest, first through fourth respectively, were Savanah Lewis, daughter of Wes and Dolly Lewis; Megan Keim, daughter of Greg and Kathy Keim; Victoria Stark, daughter of Matthew and Melissa Ebers; and Megan Bode, daughter of Lewis and Shelly Bode.
In the Pre Teen Miss contest, runners-up were, first - Isabella Latta, daughter of Lisa Latta, Trey and Amy Latta; and second - Cara Cook, daughter of Ryan and Kathy Cook, and Eddie and Sunshine Wheeler.
