5.5/10 Life and Proud(what the hell does that even mean??) is a cute ballad. It's nothing extraordinary, but it's good enough... Aki has a cute voice, and the melody of the song is ok. However, it's the kind of song that I get quickly tired of after a few listens...

Asu no Yoichi OP Single - Egao no Riyuu by meg rock

Asu no Yoichi is a new anime based on a manga by the same name. Here's a short plot summary: A boy swordsman, Yoichi and his father stays in mountain training for his descent from the mountain. Yoichi comes to the city to lodge and stay with 4 beautiful sisters. A new more severe "training" regiment awaits him. (source) The OP theme song is called Egao no Riyuu and is sung by meg rock. Meg rock already has done quite a few anime songs. Her songs have been included in Card Captor Sakura (as GUMI), UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie, Stratos 4, Peach Girl, Solty Rei...

5.5/10 I can't say I'm really impressed with meg rock's song. I'm glad to hear some J-Rock for a change, after all the J-Pop crap I've been reviewing lately. But I don't feel like her voice suits J-Rock. She totally sings like a J-Pop chick and lacks pure rocky energy... The melody in itself isn't that bad, and the electric guitars sound really nice!
