Demi Lovato NOT Joining 'The Avengers'

"The Avengers" has not yet added another girl on the line-up. Debunking swirling report that Demi Lovato was going to join the cast ensemble of the superhero flick, her representatives as well as sources from Marvel's camp say there was no truth to the rumor.

The denial came days after Radar Online reported that Lovato was up for a role in "The Avengers" while she is still staying in rehab.
The Disney star was given a Christmas break and stepped out of the medical facility on December 25 for family outing, but returned to the place later the same day.

Though not hiring Lovato, the studio is currently looking for another actress to join the cast ensemble, sources say. So far, Scarlett Johansson is the only notable female in the official line-up which includes Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo and Clark Gregg.

"The Avengers" is reportedly scheduled to start production in April 2011 in New Mexico. Joss Whedon is set to serve behind the lens, while the movie is slated for May 4, 2012 U.S. release.

Demi Lovato to Release New Album and Embark on Solo Tour in 2011

Despite currently staying in rehab for "emotional and physical issues," Demi Lovato apparently has a lot on her plate for next year. Beside reportedly up for a role in "The Avengers" which will start shooting in April, the teen songstress is also preparing a new album and going to follow it up with a solo tour.

To the Associated Press, her camp confirmed the tour is still on track. When talking about today's high ticket prices, Demi even promised she will do her best to keep her ticket price affordable, "I have best friends that aren't in the industry and are dealing with just buying groceries and things like that, so I want to do my part."

Before going to rehab, Demi Lovato was on tour with Jonas Brothers. Through her representative, the "Sonny with a Chance" star said back then that she "regrets not being able to finish her tour, but is looking forward to getting back to work in the near future."

Regarding her rehab progress itself, it seems that Lovato might be out soon. After staying in the facility during Thanksgiving last month, she was allowed to take a break from her treatment and spent Christmas Day with her family over the weekend. There is no word on when she will be back home though.

Also, she has reached financial agreement with Alex Welch, the dancer she allegedly punched in the face. "The parties are satisfied and the dispute has been resolved amicably and completely," Welch's attorney Donald Karpel said. Details of the deal are confidential and have not been released to the press.

Demi Lovato Snapped Leaving Rehab Center for Christmas Break

Demi Lovato has spent her time with the loved ones on Christmas Day. The star, who has checked into a rehab in early November, was getting a break from the rehab treatment on December 25 and picked up by her family for a Christmas Day outing in Woodridge, Illinois.

In her first outing since joining the rehab stint, the 18-year-old "Camp Rock" star was spotted wearing an animal-print jacket on top of her black ensemble.
She and other members of the group had a meal at a Hollywood Blvd Cinema Bar & Eatery.

"They seemed very happy and were having a good time together. Demi seemed in good spirits," an insider gushed. Pictures from Demi's family outing can be seen on Celebrity Gossip.

Demi Lovato admitted herself to a treatment center to deal with "emotional and physical issues," her rep confirmed in November. She subsequently spent her Thanksgiving in the medical facility.

Demi Lovato Reportedly Up for a Role in 'The Avengers'

Demi Lovato might be out of rehab and back at work soon. The Disney songstress is allegedly up for a role in star-studded movie "The Avengers" which will start shooting on April 1, 2011. The news was first brought to public by RadarOnline.

The publication also reported that Lovato who stayed in rehab during Thanksgiving is going to spend Christmas with her family outside the facility.
"She will return to the treatment center that night," a source revealed further about the break arrangement.

Demi Lovato is well known for her roles as Mitchie Torres in the "Camp Rock" TV movies and Sonny Munroe in "Sonny with a Chance". She contributes to theme songs in the small screen projects, and went on tour with Jonas Brothers before leaving for rehab.

"The Avengers" itself is plotted to come out in the United States on May 4, 2012. The film will bring together the super hero team of Marvel Comics characters for the first time ever as they are forced to band together to battle the biggest foe they've ever faced.

Demi Lovato Reaches Financial Agreement With Alex Welch

Troubled singer/actress Demi Lovato has reached a financial settlement with a dancer who accused the Disney star of punching her in the face. Alex Welch threatened to sue Lovato earlier this month if she didn't apologize for reportedly lashing out at her during an incident on a plane in October.
The dancer claimed the altercation left her with a black eye and a bruised cheekbone, and the fight is rumored to have prompted Lovato to pull out of a world tour with the Jonas Brothers and check into rehab for undisclosed "emotional and physical issues".

Lawyers for both parties have been locked in negotiations to avoid a court showdown and they have now reached an agreement. Welch's attorney, Donald Karpel, tells TMZ.com, "The parties are satisfied and the dispute has been resolved amicably and completely."

 A representative for Demi Lovato has moved to silence rumors the troubled singer/actress is featured in a soon-to-be-leaked sex tape - branding the story "disgusting". The Disney star, who is currently in rehab battling emotional and physical issues, hit headlines on Friday, December 17 when a series of racy pictures emerged online, appearing to show the 18 year old posing in just a bra and partly exposing her breasts.

The photographs prompted online gossips to speculate there could be more embarrassing revelations yet to come, but a spokesperson for Lovato is adamant claims of a sex tape are not true. The rep tells Gossip Cop, "Perpetrating these completely unfounded

Report: Demi Lovato's Sex Tape Will Surface 'Soon'

Bad press keep coming on Demi Lovato's way while she's trying to get better in rehab. Just a day after her alleged racy pictures came out online, there's a rumor that a sex tape of her also exists. A source told X17Online that the Disney starlet is no stranger to "filming her sexual exploits" as evident from the photos she took with her friends.


The source who claimed to have worked on Demi's last summer tour said the sex tape would surface soon. The source also credited Demi's uncle Francisco Lovato in assisting the singer to have a private time with guys in her trailer. Francisco allegedly became her "chaperone", telling everyone who got near her bus that Demi was "busy" and kicking "people off the bus so she could bring random dudes on board and get nasty with them."

The story's truth is highly doubtful but rep for Demi did not immediately deny the allegation. He told Gossip Cop that he's "figuring out" whether it contains truth after all. An insider believed that the tape doesn't exist and it was just a speculation stemming from the racy photos.
