Kaiba OP ED Album - Seira Kagami

At last!! I've been waiting for this for so long now... The Kaiba OP/ED Album is finally out. Back in October I wrote a review about them, stating that they were my favorite OP and ED last season (here). Finally I get to hear the full version of the Kaiba ED, Carry Me Away!

10/10 The full version is even better than I had anticipated... The song is really suited to the mysterious and sad anime that is Kaiba. It is beyond beautiful. I'm still not sure if I prefer the OP Never, or the ED. Both are so inspiring. Too bad, the rest of the OP/ED Album is just crap... I thought that Seira had a promising future, but maybe not. She's done mostly bad songs after Kaiba!

My Last Piano Covers in High Quality!

I just noticed that my last 2 piano videos could also be seen in high quality and with much better sound by adding "&fmt=18" to the url. Stupid Youtube didn't automatically put the "Watch in high quality" option under my videos. I don't understand why! Some videos have it automatically, without having to hack the url... It must have to do with the format of the videos I uploaded I gues...

Yesterday, I told you that Tree Song was my favorite anime song 2008 (here). So here's my piano cover of Tree Song from the Kaiba OST... I hope you all like it! And by the way the audio quality sounds a lot better on the mp3 than on the youtube video (I did some audio remixing this time...).

My Top Anime Song of 2008 - Tree Song by Yoshida Kiyoshi

I've been holding on to this one for quite a while now! And now it's finally the right time for me to talk about my favorite anime song of 2008. It is Tree Song from the Kaiba OST, composed by Yoshida Kiyoshi (The singer is Minako "mooki" Obata, thank you TheBigN). Sadly, I don't think a lot of people know that song, because not many have seen Kaiba! It was a really sad and amazing anime, yet totally weird... Check it out some time!

10/10 Tree Song is one of the saddest song I've ever heard, it really suits the anime! I've been listening to this song so often. It's actually the only song on my cellphone, and also serves as my alarm ring tone. Each morning I wake up to this song... So you see, I'm really obsessed with it! Maybe that's why I get depressed all the time, XD!
You really have to listen to it, and then tell me which version you like the most...

Best OP and ED last season - Seira Kagami for Kaiba

Ok, maybe not the best from last season, but one of the best. Of course there was also Macross Frontier's OPs and EDs (so many of them to chose from...), so that makes it hard for any OP and ED to compete against.

Anyway, Seira Kagami's songs for Kaiba are such a treat. She's really talented!

Seira is half japanese and half canadian, so that's why her English is so good! It's nice to see some real English instead of the usual Engrish for a change! Hope you liked these songs?? They really fit the overall mood of Kaiba (check this show out, it's worth it!!).

Well, what is there to say: The opening song is your typical so-so rocky j-pop. It doesn't really do it for me.
The ending song is also not that great... It's really poppy and girly. It's a pity because I just love Seira's voice! Her OP and ED for Kaiba were awesome, so it's a big letdown!
Both songs don't have much in common with the bloody themes of the series. A Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni like OP would have made more sense to me.
