Girls Gone Wild guy charged with tax evasion

Days after his arrest for contempt of court, Girls Gone Wild guru Joe Francis was indicted yesterday on charges of tax evasion. The indictment alleges that Francis's companies claimed more than $20 million in false deductions in 2002 and 2003, and that Francis hid income using offshore bank accounts and entities supposedly owned by other people. Francis, who has "dated" Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Tara Reid, faces ten years in jail and $500,000 in fines if convicted. His lawyer says the charges are overblown, telling the press, "The government has chosen to make a criminal case out of what we believe to be at most a civil tax dispute." Well, you'll have a hard time convincing me that a guy who makes $29 million a year exploiting drunk girls isn't a slimeball.
