My Favorite EDs - Claymore

After having reviewed two horrible sets of OPs and EDs, I feel like it's time to show you more of my favorite songs. This is one of the ending themes that I truly appreciate. It's the ED from the great anime Claymore and it is called Danzai no Hana~Guilty Sky. The singer is Riyu Kosaka and she does a great job. You can download the full OP single here.


9/10 Danzai no Hana~Guilty Sky is not the usual kind of ED, in the sense that it's a really energetic and fast paced song. I love the electric guitars in that song, and the gritty style and melody. Check out the awesome PV for the song:

Another great anime ended. Hope you guys enjoyed it as much as I do. Lots of cool shows for this season are ending. Any new upcoming shows which look promising? The important words here are NEW UPCOMING. Preferably those intended for older audiences.

P.S. I was kinda hoping Priscilla would suddenly slashed Raki as she did with Teresa. You know as Raki screamed and cried "Naruto style", SLASH!! and his head rolled. Oh crap, did I just declare a war against Naruto fans? Gomen ne. I kid..

While Raki is travelling with Easley to Pieta, Clare continues her fight with Rigardo. After a while of fighting with Clare, Rigardo comes to the conclusion he hasn't had a fight like this after he fought with Easley. Raki departs from Priscilla and Easley after hearing that a lot of Claymores, starting from the lowest ranked ones have been sent to Pieta to fight Awakened beings. Clare and her awakening have come to an amazing situation due to her willingness to beat Rigardo.

Claymore 21

"Invasion of Pieta (Part 1)"

Clare and the rest of the Claymores prepare themselves for the next round of Awakened Beings. Raki, Isley and Priscilla are heading towards Pieta while the Claymores prepare themselves. They find that this time the numbers and the yoki of the Awakened Beings are much more powerful. When they arrive they battle, until the Awakened Beings start taking losses against the Claymores. Meanwhile, Raki discovers that Priscilla is an Awakened Being after hearing a scream and finding Priscilla in a cave eating a person. At this point, Isley steps in and tells him she is an Awakened Being. Meanwhile, the battle between the Claymores and the Awakened Ones changes with the appearance of the Lion-Eyed Ligardes who kills Undine, Veronica, and Flora on sight. Jean is pierced through, but her fate is yet to be determined.

Raki, who remains determined to protect Clare, persuades Isley to teach him to properly use a sword; meanwhile, Priscilla continues to express a seemingly innocent and peaceful liking for Raki. Deneve finds Undine in the warehouse and realizes why Undine behaves in such a gruff manner; she then tells Undine her own story. Flora distrusts Clare because of her arm--which evidently does not belong to her--but when Clare reveals that it belonged to Irene, they reconcile. Undine returns to her team and addresses them rather kindly, consequently puzzling the other Claymores. In the distance, Isley plans the destruction of Alfonso and the northern lands.

"The War in the North (Part 1)"
This episode of Claymore will be available in full screen. Since there is no Bleach this week, I am using its allocated bandwidth for Claymore. I really want to do it every week for Claymore. It's my top favorite anime this season. Unfortunately, bandwidth ain't free. :(

Rubel & Rafaela confront Clare & Jean and explain that the organization could kill them both at any time. Instead of doing so, Rubel gives Clare a mission to go to the Northern lands along with 23 other Claymores to confront a horde of Awakened and the "Dweller of the Deep" Easley. He also mentions that Raki has gone there, giving Clare even more incentive to go. Once there, all four of the Slashers (Clare, Helen, Miria & Deneve) are reunited again and make Jean their fifth member since she too is a Half-Awakened. The 24 gathered Claymores divide into teams of five and are soon confronted by three Awakened.

Clare saves Jean from awakening, gaining her complete loyalty, and returns to help Galetea. Together, the battle shifts and Duph is defeated, but the little girl who claims duph as her man saves him. Clare finally lands a hit on the little girl, who disolves and reappears. The little girl tells Clare about the Northern Kingdom and the name of the ruler. - by kaotzki

Clare arrives at a cave inhabited by two Awakened: the Abysmal one known as Riful (West), and her boyfriend Duph. In her confrontation with Duph, Clare is rescued by Galatea. They come to learn of a secret arms race between the three Abysmal ones of the North, West, and South and Riful's intentions to raise as many Awakened troops to join her side as she can before their inevitable confrontation. As Galatea buys time by distracting Duph, Clare races to save Jean, the only Claymore with the brute strength enough to penetrate Duph's armour.

Unable to contact Clare for three months after Ophelia's awakening and death, the organization decides to send Galatea to track her down. In the meantime, Clare searches for Raki, while disguised and with her yoki suppressed, in a local town. She nearly runs into a party of Claymores on a hunt for an Awakened Being. The next day, a bloody and shredded Claymore limps into the town and tells Clare that the party was captured. She sets off to rescue them as, unbeknownst to her at this point, they are being tortured into awakening.
